How HomeSupport Works?
We find helpful, empathetic and kind people to help you in your home
Helpful HomeSupport is a flexible and person-centred service, responding to what people actually need, when they need it, while remaining affordable and community focused. Unlike many traditional carers, Helpful HomeSupporters are not confined to a quick visit; the emphasis is on building relationships, with someone you can trust and who can give that little extra time and help.
What type of help and support is available & what are the fees?
Helpful HomeSupport offers reliable, cost effective, live-out home support, tailored to each individual and their lifestyle. Below are some examples of the kind of support available. Some HomeSupporters offer personal care too.

Registration & Agency Fees
Helpful HomeSupporters are self-employed, and we act as an introductory agency. We believe in fair pay for great work, which means your HomeSupporter receives the full benefit of what you pay them, while we simply charge a clear, straightforward monthly on-going Agency Introductory Fee.
Getting started is easy:
When you first register with us, we will discuss your individual requirements, including the approx. number of hours you would like a HomeSupporter to provide each week.
- We charge a one-off Registration Fee* of £75.00+VAT (which includes your first month’s Agency Introduction Fee)
- Ongoing monthly Agency Introduction Fee of just 10%+VAT, based on what you pay your HomeSupporter
Your HomeSupporter will log their hours and submit their invoice directly to you for payment. You can agree a payment schedule that suits you both – daily, weekly, or monthly.
The Agency Introduction Fee will be invoiced separately to you through our accounting system, Xero. We will send you a link to set up a Direct Debit which is a requirement of registration.
*We only charge our Registration Fee when we have a HomeSupporter profile to send you.

What kind of people become Helpful HomeSupporters? Why use Helpful HomeSupporters?
Helpful HomeSupporters are usually, students, working professionals or recently retired people who are practical, reliable, kind and caring people. HomeSupporters believe in keeping people connected to their community, supporting independence and making sure individuals can continue living safely and happily in their own homes. They are interviewed and fully vetted by the Helpful HomeSupport team before they are introduced to you.
Our sister company Share and Care Homeshare has spent the past 20 years working at the heart of the community and across the UK and has seen just how powerful the right kind of home support can be. This new service has been created to sit alongside Share and Care Homeshare, to help householders who need an additional level of in-home support, or those who do not want someone living in or do not have a spare bedroom for a home sharer.
