What you need to be prepared to do

A HomeSupporter might be asked to support with a wide range of practical tasks, and these will vary from time-to-time, depending on the Client’s requirements.

Typically the practical help includes:

Domestic Support: Light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping/unloading online deliveries, light help in the garden, helping with pet care, taking a dog for a walk

Home organisation and admin: Help with decluttering and tidying up, organising mail and bill payments, managing appointments, accompanying to appointments, simple technology, organising deliveries and other such help

Companionship and social support: Conversation, doing activities together, accompanying on outings

When you have been introduced to a Client, it is up to you and the Client to discuss what is required, and to liaise directly with each other to confirm the days and times of your visits.

How the finances work

HomeSupporters need to be registered as self-employed as the agency does not employ people; we are an Introductory Agency.

HomeSupporters will be required to log their hours in order to provide the Client with accurate invoices. It is a requirement that copies of all Client invoices are sent to the Agency.

HomeSupporters are required to invoice the Client directly on a daily, weekly, monthly basis, whichever is agreed by both parties. Method of payment is the choice of the HomeSupporter (we suggest by bank transfer).

HomeSupporters are paid from £18.00 per hour for their services by the Client.

NB The Agency Introduction Fee is invoiced separately; the Agency is only responsible for collecting its own payments, not the HomeSupporters.

We hold a register of HomeSupporters. When your vetting has been completed we are able to share your profile with potential Clients.
